It had been a few weeks since Haru's encounter with Evil. Since then he had been pretty bored, simply staring at the clock, watching the second hand move from mark to mark at a near glacial pace. It was Friday today, making the second hand go even slower... and it was the last class of the day. Trig. The worst subject in his curriculum. The raven-haired boy sighed and tapped the eraser-end of his pencil on his desk. Upon the desk were several sheets of college-ruled paper filled with doodles of chaos, violence, and the occasional teacher speared on any random pointed object. Sighing, Haru swept his bangs from his eyes and glanced at the board. It was full of notes... Deciding to spend his time wisely, Haru pulled out a clean sheet of paper and quickly scribbled the notes onto the paper before calling it a day.
When the bell rang Haru grabbed his backpack, threw it over his shoulder, and walked out of the class room. He always walked home, which allowed him much freedom. So, instead of heading directly home, Haru walked into the courtyard of the school and took a seat on one of the benches. As he sat there a friend of is spotted him and sat next to him. "Hey," Kan said, a rather buff kid with cropped brown hair greeted, "seen anymore of that chick, Haru?" Kan asked with a large grin. Haru shook his head. "Nah, well... in the context you're putting it in. I do see her in Physical Ed and French... but that's about as much as I see her on a daily basis. Only quick glances." Kan frowned. "Oh well... anyways... my bus is here, gotta go." With a small nod of goodbye, Kan stood up and walked to his bus, leaving Haru alone in the court yard, allowing him to wonder what he'd do with his weekend. Maybe he'd find Evil and see if she wanted to go to a movie with him...

"I'll be your Hero..."
What a bore it was to walk to school in the morning. Evil yawned tiredly as she rubbed her eyes. But, she wasn't going to school yet. There was something else she had to do before she went. A large jug of Sunny D was in her hand, about half of it drank. She had it open and lifted it to her lips, drinking more of the drink. She had to finish it before she reached the store, but the store was another 3 minutes of walking. Evil kept the Sunny D jug to her lips as she drank as much as she could in one gulp of air. She had to eventually pull it away and gasp in deep breaths. Looking at the jug, she noticed she didn't have that much left. Awesome, she had nearly completed a full jug of Sunny D. It had been full when she left home, but now it was nearly empty. Evil moved quickly as she felt her bladder was going to explode. She had to get to the store and finish this jug. Evil brought it to her lips against as she turned the corner, finishing it off right in front of the store. She threw the jug in the garbage can outside the store and entered. Evil made her way to the aisle she had gone down many times this week. On the way she passed the counter and the young register (whom she had "relations" with once before.)
"Hey Evil, what's up? Come to try it out again? Can't you just accept the facts?" "Shut up, Chris!" Evil growled as she grabbed the pregnency tester and hurried up to the counter. She threw her backpack at him, "here, keep this as proof I'll be right back. I'll pay you in a minute for this." "Can't you just pay for it now?" "Chris, I just drank a whole thing of Sunny D! I have to fucking piss!" Evil yelled over her shoulder as she closed the bathroom door shut. "Ok, but don't think you own that thing because you...well...marked it!" Locking it so nobody could enter, her fingers fumbled with opening the tester and pulling it out. Throwing her skirt and undergarmet down, Evil sat on the toilet and did the process for the 6th time already. Except the last times she hadn't drank a whole jug of Sunny D. She hoped to goodness this one came out with the result she wanted, and that the other five had been wrong.
Holding the tester up after her business was done, Evil gazed at it intently. She waited and waited and started to see the pink come up. Her eyes widened as she screamed "no" in her mind over and over. But it was there, the evil pink plus sign! Evil closed her eyes and a shuddered sigh escaped from her. She cleaned her lower area and stood up, pulling her skirt and underwear back up. Flushing the toilet, Evil walked numbly back to the counter. Setting the tester down, Evil snatched her backpack back from Chris and began to dig for the money she had placed aside for it. "Haha, I see, there's no escaping it, Evil. Your eggo is preggo," Chris smiled innocently at her. "Shut the fuck up, Chris, before I shut you up myself," Evil muttered. She pulled out the money and put it down, then stuffed the tester in her pocket. Looking up at the clock, Evil sighed and shook her head. "Goodbye, I have to get to school..."
_____
It was the end of the day now, and the last period of the day let out. Evil was leaning against a tree, staring down at her feet. There was no doubt in her mind now, she was pregnant. There was also no doubt in her mind who the father was. Evil lifted her gaze and searched around the court yard. She searched it until she found his familiar face. Evil felt a jab of anger running through her. But she kept herself under control as she moved away from the tree. Evil approached him, her steps quick but her heart pounding in her chest. What was she going to say? How was he going to even react? To the fact in nine months he was going to be a father? Would he even care about what he did to her? How he had condemed her to nine months of hell and then even more hell afterwards? "Haru!" She called out to him and gave a small wave. Evil stopped in front of him, her hand falling back to her side. With a small sigh, she thought 'here we go' and then smiled. "So, Haru...guess what...?" She scratched the back of her head nervously. Hopefully this would go over well.

Just as he thought of her, there she was. Haru looked up at Evil as she approached him, a small smile touching his thin lips. Sitting taller and stretching his arms behind his head, Haru gave a quick hello before listening to her question. "Guess? Hmm... you couldn't get enough of me? You came back for more?" His lips cracked into a wider smile that seemed to claim the entirety of his handsome features. "I guess I'm up for another romp... where to this time? The Teacher's Lounge?" Haru chuckled at his jokes, not in the least it expecting the news Evil had for him. Standing up and pulling his backpack onto his shoulders, Haru looked around. "Let's walk and talk, I gotta get home a bit earlier than normal today." Haru watched Evil for a moment, waiting for her response before he started home.

"I'll be your Hero..."
Evil rolled her eyes playfully at his guess. Oh, that was quite a fantasy, Haru. But that wasn't the news she had to tell him. It was news that was eating at her soul. Her heart was pounding against her chest. How would he react? Would it be so bad she'd have to run? Have to avoid him? She knew he'd be shocked...surprised. It was so expected, as they were both too young for this. How old was he, 17 like she? Neither of them were the least bit ready, they weren't married. They weren't even dating! They didn't have feelings for each other. It had all just been a game that had ended her up here...She was probably going to be stuck with it, too. Evil was going to be stuck, alone, caring for the damn thing! No...she wouldn't care for it. Evil thought it over quickly, if all didn't go well, she would get rid of it. Abortion, maybe? That could work out very well. Or maybe having it and giving it up to another family?
Nodding slowly, she walked beside him, knowing they'd be stopping very soon. Evil walked silently beside him, wondering how to say it. But nothing came to mind. There was no lead up to it. She just had to say it...She sighed, and then spoke very casually. "...I'm pregnant..."
"...but only if you save me."

As he walked home - Evil at his side - Haru enjoyed the wind-filled silence. Leaves rolled across the roads, lawns, and sidewalks causing an air-filling rustle which accompanied the cities silence... which was normally comprised of the distant roar of car motors, horns, and the occasional squealing tire followed by that ear-spiltting crunch of metal as it was torn from the body of a car. No, he was exaggerating -- that shit only happened so often in movies. So, here they were, walking home in a blanket of sunshine, almost no words shared between the two... until she spoke. Something he almost wished she hadn't done. Stopping abruptly, Haru's eyebrows shot up and he stared at her with a startled expression. "I'm sorry... you're what?" He was striken dumb, his thoughts muddled... he couldn't figure out which words went together. "P-pregnant?" Haru bit his lower lip and hesitated. "You're sure it's mine? Absolutely positive... 'cause... we-" No, they hadn't used protection. "You're on..." He was not at all certain if she was on the pill either... "I wasn't..." He wasn't sure if he had been one of many in the recent time-span. "Well..." Haru sighed. Damn... what was this? A sick joke? Was there a camera around? Haru started to look around. Maybe he was dreaming. He crossed his arms and discretely pinched himself to make sure. There was a sharp sting on his arm where he pinched himself. Yep, he was awake. This wasn't a dream... this was real. He was going to be a father... At first he felt a wave of anger, but that soon died... next he felt anxiety -- how the hell was he supposed to be the father of a child!? At his age! Dammit! He didn't even know how to be a good father! His father had never been there for him... He was scared all of a sudden... but he couldn't let fear rule him. Looking Evil directly in the eye, the boy's expression softened. "How can I help?" He finally asked after a long silence.

"I'll be your Hero..."
Evil listened to him stutter as the two walked. She wasn't on any pill at the time, and he had been her first customer in a while. She was absolutely positive that Haru was the baby's father. What a story that would spread around school like wildfire. That the high school slut was pregnant...with Haru's kid. How many rumors would that one make? An amused smirk came across her lips for a moment or two, thinking on that. She was sure there'd be so much talk and all of it would be different. She was going to have fun listening to those. Evil continued to look at Haru quietly as he looked at her. He asked if there was a way he could help, and Evil frowned. "I'm not exactly sure...I don't want to be stuck alone with it...I guess it'd be nice if you came around and helped raise it I just...don't know....if I'm even gonna keep it. I..." She looked down, "I really don't want anything to do with motherhood. My life is pretty hard and I don't know if I could even support one. I hardly have enough money for myself...a baby...it..." She sighed softly, "I guess I wanted your opinion. If I should get rid of it....or try and raise it. Or maybe I could even have it and then let another family raise it...?"

Having been blind-sided by the news, Haru hadn't even considered how Evil felt about the whole "keeping the kid" thing. It was basically her decision what she did with the child... and if she didn't have the necessities to keep the baby Haru shouldn't really press her to keep it, but then again he did come from a rather well-off family, but why would his Dad lend a hand and cough up some money? Haru new his father would be a total bastard about this situation and tell Haru it was his own god-damned fault and he'd have to figure out how to get by. Shoving his hands into his pockets, Haru tilted his eyes skyward and watched as the multi-hued leaves danced in the autumn wind. "I'm... not..." Haru played with some words in his head for a moment or two before continuing his sentence. "I guess you should do what's best for you... If you do decide to have the kid, though... I'll look after it. I won't leave you alone with it." A small smile touched Haru's lips, even though it didn't strike him as a smiling moment. "The decision is mainly yours, though. I'll support any decision you make... I guess..." Haru's words were quiet now and his gaze had shifted his feet. The sidewalk was cracked and dirty, and grass sprouted from the cracks which wove through the stone. He never really paid attention to anything, so looking at the sidewalk and noticing something like this was a bit of a refreshment to his mind.

"I'll be your Hero..."
Evil was staring down at the side walk, eyes taking in the details of its dirty and cracked look. She kicked a small stone and her eyes closed now. Everything was just gonna be a mess now. She didn't want it! She didn't want the baby! But she wouldn't kill it. Evil had already thought it over, had already scheduled to be rid of it but then cancelled it. She would just have to live with it for the rest of her life. Live with the mistake her and Haru made. She wondered why she was not pissed off at Haru for this or thinking it was his fault. She figured it was in her personality to blame him for it. But she wasn't, and that confused her. It was her fault just as much as his and she was accepting this for some reason. Actually, she was fully blaming herself. She was usually so much more careful! Why had it faultered this time? Why?
Her sable eyes shifted over to him as he spoke. She nodded slowly, feeling comforted by his words. He was going to back up whatever choice she made and if she kept it he'd help her. A small smile played across her lips and she nodded slowly. "Thank you...Haru..." A soft sigh escaped her and she looked down at her feet. "I...I'm sorry...that I got you into this...I...I should've...been more careful..." She slumped a bit in a depressed manor. She hadn't wanted to drag someone into something like this. She felt like an idiot of some sort. She didn't even care if he did agree she should've been more careful. It would hurt, but it was the truth.
